Varietal: 72% Pinot Noir and 28% Chardonnay Hand Riddled & Bottled Tasting Notes: You're front and center for Bruckner's Symphony No. 8, adrift on the virtuosic whims of the conductor. Lush and sweeping strawberry tart and peach sherbet on the strings, with soft forest floor tremolando, fading to the woodwinds' mellow almond scone and eucalyptus. Then the brass: triumphant and powerful, riding high on nectarine and quince paste fanfare, calming for a moment before soaring to cherry and rhubarb heights, and resolving with mezzo piano minerality. So invigorating, so intense. And just when you think it's over, it crescendos again as the swells and flourishes carry you to the coda.
